This is also the first television bridge of the final round of the Road to Olympia 2025.
The first quarter of 2025 of the 25th Road to Olympia witnessed a dramatic competition between 4 male students: Le Quang Duy Khoa (Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Hue City), Vu Viet Hoang (Song Cong High School, Thai Nguyen), Phung Manh Dung (Quang Oai High School, Hanoi) and Tran Le Minh Triet (Gifted High School - Ho Chi Minh City National University).
Entering the first quarter competition with confidence and composure, Le Quang Duy Khoa - a male English major student from Hue - continued to affirm his impressive performance.
Right from the Warm-up round, Duy Khoa won 70 points to lead the climbing team, surpassing the second place opponent by 25 points.
In the Obstacle Course round, although he did not score on the first horizontal line of clues, the Hue male student quickly pressed the bell to answer and correctly guessed the keyword “semiconductor”. This brought Khoa an additional 60 points, bringing his total score to 130, creating a 75-point gap with the second-place finisher.
Although the Acceleration round did not meet expectations with only 30 additional points, Duy Khoa still maintained the top position with 160 points. However, the score gap between him and the two opponents behind him was narrowed to only 25 points, creating tension for the Finish round.
Choosing the 3-question package worth 20 points, Duy Khoa did not have a smooth start when he lost points on the first question, giving Minh Triet the opportunity to take the lead with 155 points. The remaining two questions did not bring Duy Khoa any points, but the other competitors could not take advantage of the opportunity to break away.
The dramatic climax occurred when before Manh Dung's final round, Duy Khoa had 130 points, behind Minh Triet (155 points) and Viet Hoang (140 points).
In Manh Dung's final decisive question - also the last question of the match, Duy Khoa quickly rang the bell and excellently gave the correct answer, winning 30 more points to make a spectacular comeback, touching the laurel wreath.
This thrilling victory helped Duy Khoa bring the final televised match for the third consecutive year and the eighth time to the ancient capital of Hue.
