Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The 2025 International Mathematical Competition held in Australia, Tran Minh Hoang (student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted), from Tien Dien commune, Ha Tinh province, and Vo Trong Khai (student of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An), from Dan Hai commune, Ha Tinh province, both won gold medals with scores of 35 and 38 points respectively.
This is the second time Tran Minh Hoang has won an international Olympic medal in Mathematics, and the fourth consecutive year that Ha Tinh Education and Training has had students win international medals.
Previously, in 2024, at the International Mathematical Competition - IMO held in the UK, Tran Minh Hoang, then an 11th grade student in Math 1 - Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, also excellently won a Silver Medal.
Speaking at the meeting, leaders of Ha Tinh province congratulated and commended Tran Minh Hoang and Vo Trong Khai and hoped that they would continue to promote their abilities and conquer the pinnacle of human knowledge.
At the meeting, Tran Minh Hoang and Vo Trong Khai expressed their deepest gratitude for the attention of the province, the education sector, the school, teachers, friends and family members.
The attention to spirit and material things in the past has helped him overcome difficulties to achieve proud results. They also promised to continue to strive to achieve even higher achievements, contributing to the traditional glory of the school and their homeland.
