The 2026 high school graduation exam takes place in the context of a decrease in the number of provincial-level focal points, but an increase in commune-level focal points, causing the scale of exam organization of the Department of Education and Training to increase sharply in quantity.
The inspection apparatus at all levels has been completed, and there are no more inspections of the Education sector. In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued Circular No. 10/2026/TT-BGDDT dated February 26, 2026 on the Regulations on diplomas and certificates of the national education system, effective from April 15, 2026.
The new point of this year's exam is that many types of documents are integrated, including: exam notification papers and exam cards, exam result certificates and temporary graduation certificates. Re-marking also has changes, all exam papers changed from 0.25 exam scores when re-marking must be subject to dialogue between examiners.
On June 10, candidates complete registration procedures for the exam; on June 11-12, organize exams for Literature, Mathematics and elective exams/subjects; the time to announce exam scores is 8:00 AM on July 1, 2026, 2 weeks earlier than in 2025. This exam applies information technology in all stages of the exam organization process such as: registration, dossier review, invigilation, grading, score reporting, result review... unifying a common software of the Ministry of Education and Training.
This year's high school graduation exam in Hai Phong city is organized at 92 exam sites, 2,445 exam rooms, about 57,000 candidates taking the exam (including 47,500 high school students, 8,500 continuing education students, 1,000 independent students); there are 6,000 invigilators, exam supervisors; 1,500 people ensuring security, safety and exam service (Police, security, health, electricity...); 350 people are leaders of the grading council, grading boards and examiners. Grading time from June 13-20, at Hong Bang High School, Hong Bang ward. The announcement time for graduation recognition consideration takes place before July 3.
