From August 24, the atmosphere at Can Tho University (VNU) became bustling with the presence of thousands of admitted candidates and parents from all over the country.
Coming to the university to complete the admission procedures at noon, new student Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung (Lai Vung commune, Dong Thap province) was excited and surprised by the thoughtfulness here.
"While I waited for 2 days for the Ministry of Education and Training's (MOET) gate to reopen, I was contacted and instructed by the students in advance, so I did not feel worried. By August 25, the process of confirming and completing admission procedures at the university was quite easy, and anyone who went to the area was enthusiastically guided. The school's non-stop activities have created great conditions for new students, especially those who are far away, to complete procedures quickly and complete them within the day, Tuyet Nhung said.
Similarly, Nguyen Gia Hung - a new student majoring in English Language (high-quality program) - feels proud to officially become a part of the University of Economics and Technology.
Hung said: "Confirming admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's entrance gate after reopening is quite easy. In particular, when coming to the University of Science and Technology to complete the procedures, all steps are taken quickly and conveniently, without having to wait long".
Tong Duy Bao - a new student majoring in Business and Commerce (Can Tho City) - also expressed his joy at realizing his dream of studying at the University of Economics.
The male student shared: VBSP works full-time, even on weekends, creating conditions for me and the candidates to easily and quickly complete the admission procedures. I will study hard to achieve high results, not giving up 12 years of striving to enter the school of my dream.
Working through noon
According to Master Nguyen Hua Duy Khang - Deputy Head of Training Department (Can Tho University) - from August 24 (Sunday), the University of Technology has been ready to welcome candidates to do admission procedures.
The process of receiving admission documents was organized methodically and there was no congestion. During the procedures, for the missing documents that have not been prepared in time, the unit is ready to create conditions for candidates to supplement later.
In addition to instructing candidates on information related to admission documents to prepare in advance, VNU also divided the flow of new students to complete procedures by major, by day to avoid overload. However, this sharing of flows is only relative, candidates can still arrive earlier or later than the announced schedule.
In particular, in order to provide maximum support to students in neighboring provinces and even in remote provinces, VNU has decided to let departments work through the day. Any time from 7:00 to 17:00, candidates are served and supported to complete procedures immediately.
With the maximum facilitation from the University of Technology, according to preliminary statistics on the system, in just two days of August 24 and 25, about 2,500/nearly 11,000 candidates were admitted to complete the admission procedures. In addition to the unit's staff, a strong support force of up to 50 - 60 students/session has been mobilized to guide and help new students. This enthusiasm and thoughtfulness has helped candidates and parents feel satisfied and secure when coming to do the procedures, said Master Nguyen Hua Duy Khang.
