At the National Science and Technology Research Competition for the 2025-2026 school year, the delegation of Lao Cai province students achieved outstanding results when 5/6 participating projects won prizes, accounting for 83.3%.

This result continues to affirm the right direction of the local education sector in promoting scientific research and innovation among high school students.
According to information from the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training on March 23, among the winning projects, there is 1 Third Prize and 4 Fourth Prizes.
This is an encouraging achievement in the context that this year's competition is large-scale with the participation of all 34 Departments of Education and Training nationwide, along with 17 units that are general schools directly under the Ministry, universities and research institutes.
The contest attracted 242 projects, an increase of more than 30 projects compared to the previous year, showing the strong spread of the scientific research movement among students.

Notably, this year the Ministry of Education and Training applies a new regulation to ensure fairness, in accordance with the conditions and scale of each locality, contributing to improving the quality of entries.
Among Lao Cai's projects, the third prize belonged to the group of students Luyen Ha Linh (11th grade Geography) and Vu Son Tra (12th grade Central), Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted with the topic "Building a'Digital Bridge' model to improve access to online public administrative services for ethnic minority communities in Vietnam".
The project is highly appreciated for its practicality, aiming to narrow the digital gap and support people in difficult areas to access modern public services.
04 fourth prizes belong to the student groups:
Tran Quy Linh (11th grade, English 1) and Nguyen Thi Linh Chi (11th grade, Biology), Lao Cai High School for the Gifted with the project "Psychological difficulties of cancer patients aged 15-17 - Current situation and support solutions".
Nguyen Vu Ha Chi (11th grade Chemistry) and Hoang Tuan Minh (11th grade Physics), Lao Cai High School for the Gifted with the project "Creating a disease tissue burial machine using Peltier clams".
Do Phuong Ha (11A1 class) and Pham Quang Vinh (12A2 class), Bao Thang High School No. 1 with the project "DemaRAG - Traceability and Biogenesis System to support diagnosis and treatment".
Ho Luc Nguyen (11th grade Math B) and Le Quang Phat (11th grade Math A), Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted with the project "Ares - Reconnaissance Robot integrating fire escape guidance system".
This result shows that STEM education in Lao Cai is being effective, helping students develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills and the ability to apply knowledge to practice.
Not only academic achievements, the projects also reflect the concern for social issues, contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation among students, especially in mountainous areas.
