On the morning of June 3, candidates from Nghe An province entered the entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year. This is the first exam to apply the new general education program, with the exam designed in the direction of promoting capacity, enhancing practicality and practical application.
The whole province has 39,130 candidates registered to take the exam to 69 public high schools, at 71 exam locations with a total of 1,664 exam rooms. To ensure the exam takes place seriously and safely, the province has mobilized 5,670 officers to work at the exam locations, of which nearly 4,000 are supervisors and supervisors.
The three subjects of this year's exam are still Literature, Math and English - a familiar structure that helps students facilitate the review and preparation process. However, a notable new point is the implementation of the policy of accumulating points to encourage students to win provincial prizes in academic competitions organized by the Ministry or the Department of Education and Training. The number of candidates this year decreased by more than 5,000 students compared to the previous school year. However, according to the forecast, in 2026, the number of candidates for grade 10 in Nghe An will increase sharply, maybe higher than this year to 7,000 children. Facing the fluctuations in the scale of students, the province advocates to stabilize the enrollment targets, avoid putting pressure on the high school education system and ensuring teaching and learning quality.
On the first day, candidates will do a Literature test in the morning and a Foreign Language test in the afternoon. On June 4, they continued to take the Math exam. Many exam scores recorded a serious atmosphere, candidates were present early, with stable spirit, and were ready to enter the important exam.
