More than 6 billion VND to build classrooms and drinking water systems for people in Quang Ngai

Quang Ngai starts construction of 2 classrooms and a system of purified drinking water, contributing to improving learning conditions and health care for people in mountainous areas.

On August 12, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Duc Tho - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Son Linh commune said that the People's Committee of Son Linh commune has just organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 2 classrooms at Ka Long school point, Lang Gung village, belonging to Tuoi Tho Kindergarten, Son Linh commune.

The project is sponsored by the Vietnam Children's Fund - Ministry of Health and Vietnam Foreign Trade Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Vietcombank), contributing to gradually completing school facilities, creating favorable conditions for the care, nurturing and education of children in the area.

Mr. Dinh Tien Hai - Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund, Ministry of Health affirmed that supporting the construction of school facilities is a practical activity, showing the concern and responsibility of sponsors for the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, especially children in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas that still face many difficulties.

Mr. Bui Duc Tho emphasized that the project is of practical significance, contributing to improving learning and childcare conditions; and at the same time requested construction units to focus manpower and vehicles, deploy the project on schedule, ensure quality, technical and safety, and complete it soon and put it into use.

Also according to Mr. Bui Duc Tho, on August 11, Son Linh Commune People's Committee also organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a purified drinking water system for the Son Linh commune community with a water filtration capacity of 8,000 liters/day and night.

This is a practical project, contributing to ensuring safe drinking water sources, taking care of the health of the people, especially children and students in the commune.

The project is being implemented with the attention and support of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Vietnam Children's Fund.

Within the framework of the program, Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Vietnam Children's Fund presented 50 scholarships and 50 helmets to students in Son Linh commune.

According to Mr. Bui Duc Tho, the total investment of the two projects is about 6.2 billion VND.
