On the morning of September 8, Mr. Nguyen Duc Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province confirmed that the Department has requested schools and relevant agencies to report and review the plan to arrange public educational institutions in the province in the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the plan adjusted and supplemented by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in August 2026, the arrangement of public educational institutions in the province is implemented in the direction that each commune level has 1 kindergarten, 1 primary school, 1 secondary school and 1 high school.
The roadmap set out is to complete the arrangement of public preschool and general education institutions before August 20 to promptly stabilize and prepare for the new school year.
According to the plan, from the 2026-2027 school year, Khanh Hoa province will have 246 public educational institutions, a decrease of 482 institutions compared to the total of 728 institutions before arrangement, equivalent to a decrease of 66.2%.
Among the 246 public educational institutions after arrangement, there are 64 kindergartens, 59 primary schools, 58 secondary schools, 15 inter-level primary - secondary schools, 37 high schools, 6 inter-level secondary - high schools, 3 continuing education centers and other centers and 4 intermediate schools.
Regarding personnel, each educational institution after arrangement has 1 principal. The main school is arranged with 1 vice principal, and each branch is arranged with 1 vice principal.
Teachers are arranged according to norms based on the student size of the educational institution. Accounting, clerical, and cashier positions are arranged for common use for the educational institution, including the main school, branch and school point.
Meanwhile, the positions of equipment, laboratories, libraries, educational services, student counseling, educational support for people with disabilities, information technology (or office administration), and school health are arranged separately for the main school and each branch; each position is arranged with 1 person.
Professional groups are organized in accordance with the professional guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Based on the above plan, localities have proactively arranged personnel according to the structure and number prescribed, and at the same time oriented the arrangement of the remaining staff.
For management officials, the plan is to arrange them in positions of teachers, team leaders or professional deputy team leaders; or arrange them in other job positions at units and functional departments under the commune-level People's Committee.
For management officials and teachers who wish to retire according to regulations, the locality will resolve the regime according to regulations.
The remaining support personnel are arranged for educational support positions that are still lacking or teacher positions if they meet the standard training qualifications.
In case there are no more positions to arrange, implement the settlement of staff streamlining policies according to regulations.
After completing the arrangement, the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province requests units and schools to urgently report the results on September 9.
