On September 8, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Dong Nai City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (abbreviated as the Project Management Board) said that they are coordinating with the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai City Police and related units to review and inspect the construction on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway after the car accident occurred on the night of September 7.
Previously, a clip appeared on social networks of a car being heavily damaged at the beginning of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway (from Vo Nguyen Giap street to the expressway about 1km). According to records, the area near the accident is under construction, the road surface is scraped into long, deep streaks of many cm.
According to the Project Management Board, during construction, reflective cone tops and signs were placed. The construction unit is Truong Son Construction Corporation.
Previously, on September 4, the Project Management Board announced the organization of construction of the remaining items during the implementation of the temporary traffic organization plan of component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway (4th time), the implementation time from September 3 to the end of September 20, completing construction, overcoming and repairing the remaining items including: roadside, water intake ditches on the taluy slope, reinforced concrete sidewalks, reinforced concrete water intake barriers, reinforced taluy slope and some road surface positions on the route.
On May 18, component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway officially opened. With the opening of component project 1, 16 km long, the entire main route of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, about 54 km long, has been fully put into operation, shortening the travel time from the center of Dong Nai to the intersection of National Highway 56 HCMC to about 1 hour.
The scope of temporary traffic opening of component project 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway starts from Km0+000 (connection point with Vo Nguyen Giap road) to Km16+000 (starting point of component project 2 in Long Thanh ward, Dong Nai city).
