The People's Committee of Kien Giang province has just held a meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
At the meeting, Mr. Huynh Van Van - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Department of Education and Training - said: The whole province has 67 units registering for the exam; The province arranges 107 points of receipt of the application, including 20 points to receive the application for the candidate freely according to the 2006 general education program exam, 20 points of receipt of the candidate's application for the exam for the exam according to the 2018 general education program exam.
It is expected that there will be 15,774 candidates, of which: 15,274 candidates will take the exam to be recognized as high school graduates and admitted to universities and colleges; 500 candidates will take the exam to be admitted to universities and colleges.
The Department of Education and Training established a Board of Directors for 30 exams, including 3 exams in Phu Quoc City, 26 domestic exams (an increase of 4 exams compared to 2024); 1 exam score for candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 general education program exam. At the same time, reserve 1 more exam point for candidates who register to take the winter exam.
The working time at the exam locations according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training is from June 24 to June 27, 2025.
Kien Giang will mobilize about 2,050 managers, teachers, and staff to do the exam work, arranging 687 exam rooms, 60 reserve rooms, and 35 waiting rooms. Establish 1 Examination Board consisting of 2 groups including: 1 group for the thesis subject, 1 group for the multiple-choice subject. The Examination Board is located at Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted, with working hours from June 29, 2025 until completion of the task.
In his speech, Mr. Le Trung Ho - Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee - requested that in the coming time, the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam at the provincial and district levels continue to seriously grasp the documents, directives, instructions, and plans of superiors on the exam. Strengthen communication and guidance for parents and students on exam plans, exam schedules, timelines, exam structure, and propagate 9 new points of the high school graduation exam compared to 2024.
Schools plan, organize reviews, ensure knowledge and conditions for candidates to take the exam. Prepare facilities, means, and human resources to ensure good service for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
The Youth Union organizes youth volunteer teams to support the competition season; organizes welcoming of contestants, especially those with disabilities, remote areas, and areas with difficult transportation.
Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination between police, health, electricity, and provincial youth unions, ensure security and order, regulate traffic, prevent and fight fires, food safety and hygiene, and health care at the exam locations.
Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the examination component must be in accordance with the decision to assign and ensure absolute safety during transportation; Continue to strengthen the examination and supervision of the exam in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
