Hanoi - The Hanoi People's Committee has reviewed the plan to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the city.

On the morning of April 25, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired an online meeting of the regular City People's Committee in April 2025, to review a number of contents submitted to the People's Council and according to the 2025 Work Program of the City People's Committee.

At the meeting, the City People's Committee reviewed the plan to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the city.

Earlier, the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs had a report to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee and the Hanoi People's Committee on reporting the plan of arranging administrative units at the city level of the city. It is expected that Hanoi will arrange 526 administrative units at commune level into 126 new communes and wards (reducing 400 communes and wards, equivalent to more than 76% of the commune -level administrative units) according to the policy and direction of the Central Government and in accordance with the practical situation of the city.

Also at the meeting, the City People's Committee considered approving the mechanism for determining and collecting technical infrastructure investment advances for investment projects in the city; considered approving the investment policy for the project to renovate and upgrade the Hanoi Center for Health Care and Protection of Cadres under Xanh Pon General Hospital.

The meeting also reviewed the investment policy of the project to build the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Bui Bang Doan; Considering the approval of investment policy of the ground clearance project according to the protection area of ​​Kim Lien Temple, Phuong Lien Ward, Dong Da District.
