On November 25, information from the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province said that it had issued a decision to discipline teacher N.V.T who is working at Rach Kien High School with a warning.
This form of disciplinary action was agreed upon by the Disciplinary Council after working and considering the nature of the incident. Specifically, Mr. N.V.T texted a 10th grade female student studying at the school over the phone with the content and words "confidential" that were not in accordance with teacher ethics standards," the information said.
Previously, according to the report of Ms. Ha Thi Minh Hien - Principal of Rach Kien High School, on October 20, 2025, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi - Vice Principal of the school - received a message from a teacher at Rach Kien High School, about female student N.T.T.L - a 10th grade student - being "doing bad things" by a male teacher.
On October 21, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi invited N.T.T.L to her room to get information about the incident. N.T.T.L explained that Mr. N.V.T, a teacher of National Defense Education, sent intimate messages back and forth and touched his body; his wish was to stop so he could study with peace of mind.
Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi encouraged and asked her to write a report and express her wishes. The Board of Directors then worked with Mr. N.V.T, suggesting an end and not letting the incident happen again.
The school collects more information from homeroom teachers and the school's Advisory Board. On October 22, the Board of Directors invited Mr. N.V.T to discuss the incident between Mr. N.V.T and student N.T.T.L.
After listening to the student's report, Mr. N.V.T admitted that he had sent intimate messages back and forth, but confirmed that he had not touched the student's body.
Mr. N.V.T admitted his mistake in sending intimate messages to his students. The Board of Directors asked Mr. N.V.T to write a report and a review, and at the same time not to let the incident happen again. The school's consulting board discussed with student N.T.T.L, who agreed with the Board of Directors' solution.
At 11:25 p.m. on October 27, two women, including the biological mother of N.T.T.L, went to the school to ask for protection and admitted him in with the reason of discussing students' studies. However, these two men then went straight to the equipment room, stormed in, used their hands and items to hit and throw at Mr. N.V.T.
As soon as the incident occurred, the school reported it to the Rach Kien Commune Police for handling. The commune police were present, working with the Board of Directors and 2 women who disturbed school security and order, and verifying and clarifying the incident.
The incident was also recorded by witnesses using their phones. After that, a nearly 2-minute clip about the incident was spread on social media. At the same time, the content of the message with sensitive, inappropriate words said to be from teacher N.V.T to female student N.T.T.L also spread on social networks.
Before the Disciplinary Council issued a decision to handle the disciplinary action with a warning, Rach Kien High School also suspended teacher N.V.T. from teaching for 15 days.
