On the morning of October 5, information from the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province said that Rach Kien High School (located in Rach Kien commune, Tay Ninh province) has temporarily suspended teaching, and is in the process of disciplining the teacher involved in the incident of intimate text messages with a 10th grade student of Rach Kien High School. Currently, Rach Kien Commune Police continue to work with students and parents to clarify.
Previously, according to the report of the Principal of Rach Kien High School on October 20, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi - Vice Principal of the school - received a message from the school's teacher about student N.T.T.L, grade 10, being "doing bad things" by a male teacher.
On October 21, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi invited N.T.T.L to her room to get information about the incident. N.T.T.L explained that Mr. N.V.T (a teacher of national defense education) sent an intimate message back and forth and touched his body. My wish is to stop so I can study with peace of mind.
Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi encouraged and asked her to write a report and express her wishes. The Board of Directors then worked with Mr. N.V.T, suggesting an end and not letting the incident happen again.
The school collects more information from homeroom teachers and the School Advisory Board. On October 22, the Board of Directors invited Mr. N.V.T to discuss the incident with student N.T.T.L.
After listening to the student's report, Mr. N.V.T admitted that he had sent intimate messages back and forth, but confirmed that he had not touched the student's body.
Mr. N.V.T admitted his mistake in sending intimate messages to his students. The Board of Directors asked Mr. N.V.T to write a report and a review, and at the same time terminate the relationship, not letting the incident happen again. The school Advisory Board discussed with student N.T.T.L, who agreed with the Board of Directors' solution.
At 11:25 p.m. on October 27, two women - including the biological mother of N.T.T.L - came to the school to ask for protection and admitted him in with the reason of discussing students' studies. However, these two men then went straight to the equipment room, stormed in, used their hands and items to hit and throw at Mr. N.V.T.
As soon as the incident occurred, the school reported it to the Rach Kien Commune Police for handling. The commune police were present and worked with the Board of Directors and two women who disturbed security and order at school.
The incident was also recorded by witnesses using their phones. After that, a nearly 2-minute clip of the incident spread on social media.
