In the border commune of Pa Tan (Lai Chau), the working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Minister of Public Security - attended and chaired the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of two boarding schools at Pa Tan Primary and Secondary School and Bum Nua.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long affirmed that the construction of 2 inter-level boarding schools is a major policy of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security to improve the quality of education in ethnic minority areas, creating favorable conditions for children to study in a better environment. At the same time, it contributes to strengthening security - defense and promoting socio-economic development in border areas.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security has approved investment support to build 2 inter-level boarding schools in Pa Tan and Bum Nua communes with a scale of about 30 classes, serving more than 1,000 students, a construction area of about 10 hectares, and a total investment of 200 billion VND. These are 2 key projects, belonging to group B, designed to be modern, synchronous, meeting level 2 basic standards.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security presented many meaningful gifts to the people, students and the police forces of the communes.
Specifically, giving gifts from General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security to 10 policy households and 10 village elders, village chiefs, and outstanding prestigious people in ensuring security and order in Pa Tan and Bum Nua communes. Donated 20 computers, 10,000 books, school supplies, school supplies, uniforms to students and a learning promotion fund worth 200 million VND to the two communes of Pa Tan and Bum Nua.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long and businesses have donated 1,200 smartphones to people in border communes of Lai Chau province to serve the Digital Transformation Program and Project 06 in the province.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long also presented the Emulation Flag for the Determination to complete the construction of the project to the Lai Chau Provincial Steering Committee and gifts to the Police of Pa Tan and Bum Nua communes to encourage and motivate officers and soldiers at the border.
