According to decisions issued on August 16 and 17, 2026, the Doan Ket Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center was established on the basis of merging the Lai Chau Provincial Continuing Education - Vocational Guidance Center and the Tam Duong Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center. The headquarters is located in Doan Ket ward, with Binh Lu Branch.
Than Uyen Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center was formed on the basis of merging Tan Uyen Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center and Than Uyen Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center, with its headquarters in Than Uyen commune and Tan Uyen Branch.
Phong Tho Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center is reorganized on the basis of merging Sin Ho Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center and Phong Tho Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center, headquartered in Phong Tho commune, with Sin Ho Branch.
Bum To Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center was established on the basis of merging Muong Te Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center and Nam Nhun Vocational Training - Continuing Education Center, headquartered in Bum To commune, with Nam Hang Branch.
All 4 new centers are public non-business units directly under the Lai Chau Provincial Department of Education and Training, with legal status, seals and private accounts.
The Department of Education and Training is assigned to organize the arrangement and placement of officials and employees; and at the same time hand over and receive finances, assets, land, facilities, dossiers and related rights and obligations.
The arrangement aims to streamline focal points, use resources effectively, and maintain branches to ensure continuing education and vocational training activities in localities. The decisions take effect from August 20, 2026.
