"Teacher" - a sacred and noble calling
Each of us was once a student and some of us were teachers. Teachers, whether they have just graduated or have been in the profession for decades, still fondly remember the memories of their student days, remember their teachers with all the most sacred, precious and deepest gratitude.
The teaching profession is associated with a hundred-year career of cultivating people and society highly values the role and value of teachers. Because, looking at teachers, we will see students, looking at students, we will see the future and destiny of the country. A healthy and sustainable society needs virtuous and talented teachers.
Society that exalts the status of teachers also sets high standards. Teachers must be honest, fair, careful, tolerant, and forgiving. That is the essence of a teacher and not everyone can follow the “career” of being a teacher.
As a teacher, you must first teach your students to be human: Know how to listen to good things and reason, love and respect people, be obedient, honest, study hard and work hard, behave properly, and speak politely. Especially, you must be grateful for your parents' upbringing.
Parents have given their most precious assets to their teachers, entrusting their children's future to them with the heartfelt message "Everything depends on teachers". Therefore, teachers' responsibility and love are even more meaningful and great. Teachers must love their students like their children, being both a strict father and a gentle mother. Teachers cannot forget any student, nor can they ignore any student's shortcomings.
The teacher cherishes and treasures every little effort of the student to find a compliment. One compliment is worth more than dozens, hundreds of criticisms and punishments. The teacher's mind is devoted to the student, the teacher does everything for the student.
Just a simple task, first graders, on the first day of school are still bewildered, active, and free. After a month, they are in order. After a semester, they know how to read and write. After a year, they can write and read fluently. How many people can do this feat?
Twelve years of high school, four years of university, students still have teachers as companions and throughout their working lives, teachers are still the spiritual support for students to confidently overcome challenges. Teachers are the ones who open minds, enlighten minds, and nurture the ambitions and dreams of generations of students.
The success or failure of the student is the joy or sorrow of the teacher. For the teacher, there are no bad students, only untalented teachers. The teacher does everything quietly, naturally, without calculation, without waiting for thanks, without waiting for rewards. The teacher accepts all losses for himself, leaving the benefits and good things to others. For the teacher, giving is receiving.
Few people understand the teacher's heart. The teacher acts according to reason rather than fighting for victory or defeat. If doing the right thing results in a loss, the teacher accepts it, but doing the wrong thing to win or gain an advantage, the teacher will never do it. The teacher does not raise his voice to argue, because those who understand understand without needing to be told, while those who do not understand will never understand. People find reasons to fight, but the teacher finds reasons to forgive. Giving in and forgiving are the teacher's inherent kindness. The teacher is a symbol of morality and intelligence, a role model for students.
The priceless reward of a teacher
After many years of struggling on the road of life, some people fail, some people succeed, some students still remember their teachers, that is a priceless reward, a consolation for teachers.
In the integration period, modern society has many changes. Raising children is easy - Teaching children is difficult. Parents need teachers even more, have high expectations and put more pressure on teachers.
Teachers must have both heart and vision because being conservative, imposing, dogmatic, and narrow-minded will affect the development of students. Teachers must understand a lot, be knowledgeable, and have a long-term vision to help students be independent, confident in integrating internationally, and become global citizens.
Parents are also teachers, and must set an example for their children. If parents respect their teachers, their children will be obedient and talented. Children are the most valuable asset of every family. The success of their children is much more valuable than the wealth and status that parents have worked hard to accumulate all their lives.
Being a teacher brings a lot of pressure and challenges, but at the same time it is also a motivation for teachers to develop and improve.
Being a teacher is not about leaving your name on a bronze statue or stone tablet. The growth, maturity and love of your students is the most precious reward and the greatest happiness of a teacher.
