Cau Giay Secondary School (Hanoi) has just successfully organized the VEX IQ 2025 Cau Giay Secondary School Tournament, selecting the 5 best teams to represent the school to participate in larger playgrounds in the coming time.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Luu Van Thong - Principal of Cau Giay Secondary School - said that this is the first year the school has organized a large-scale robot competition, attracting 49 teams of students to participate.
The idea comes from the school's investment in STEM classrooms with modern robotics systems, opening up opportunities for students to experience and apply technology in practice.

The tournament consists of 2 rounds: In the first round, students program virtual robots and test run the software directly. In the final round, students competed in controlling robots in teams, allying together to complete tasks.
"Through the tournament, the school selected the 5 best teams to practice and prepare for national and international tournaments in the coming time" - Mr. Thong emphasized.
According to the Principal of Cau Giay Secondary School, this is an activity expected to become annual, creating opportunities for students to rub shoulders, interact, maintain enthusiasm, practice programming thinking, design and teamwork skills.
The entire robot and AI teaching process at Cau Giay High School through clubs, using English as the main language, helps students access international standards right from school.

Sharing with reporters in the final round, an 8th grade male student said that his team had practiced for a month and had implemented the correct tactics before. However, due to participating in a major tournament for the first time, the group was somewhat nervous and had not achieved the initial target.
"Although we have not achieved the desired results, my friend and I have learned a lot. We have practiced patience in programming, thinking ability to handle unexpected situations in the match. More importantly, each member knows how to listen and support each other" - the male student said.
Many students also hope that the school will organize more similar playgrounds, not only to compete but also to connect friends and learn new things.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (Cau Giay Ward, parents with children studying at Cau Giay Secondary School) shared that the robot competition organized by the school is very useful. In addition to learning culture, children need a playground to practice skills and relieve learning pressure.
" Participating in the competition, children learn team spirit, confidence and creativity - this is no less important than knowledge of books. This is a model that needs to be replicated" - Ms. Yen said.
Nguyen Lan's parents said that the robot competition brought their children new excitement. When his child participated, he not only learned technology skills but also knew how to solve problems and coordinate with friends.
"This is an important bag for children to be more confident in their studies and their future life" - Ms. Lan said.
