Lao Cai invests 35 billion VND to build the 2nd kindergarten in Gia Phu commune

On September 22, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Ban Mai Kindergarten project, Gia Phu commune, was approved for investment policy with a budget of 35 billion VND, including building a new block of nearly 2,900m2.

Ban Mai Kindergarten Project, Gia Phu commune - Main school point is implemented in the 2026-2028 period, managed by the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.

According to the approved policy, the project aims to complete the school's facilities, meet the development scale of the 2026-2030 period and overcome the shortage of classrooms and functional rooms.

Within the framework of the project, two old buildings including a 1-story classroom building with 4 rooms and a 3-room teacher dormitory, both built in 2006, will be demolished because they have deteriorated and no longer meet the requirements for use.

The school grounds are also expanded to about 1,800m2, and temporary classroom buildings including 4 rooms are built to ensure children's learning during the construction period.

The largest item is the new building block of about 2,869m2, including 12 classrooms and physical education, art education, computer science - foreign languages, library and administrative, management, and auxiliary room systems.

The project also invests in synchronous infrastructure systems, including internal roads and yards, leveling, electricity supply, water supply, drainage, fire prevention and fighting, teacher parking garages, gates and fences.

The investment is expected to solve the current limitations of facilities, create more learning and living space for children and improve the efficiency of school use.

The project is also one of the steps for Ban Mai Kindergarten to gradually complete the criteria for school facilities to meet national standards.
