On September 22, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the province has approved the investment policy for the Bao Thang High School No. 1 project.
The project is managed by the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in Bao Thang commune, in the period 2026-2028.
According to the approved policy, the investment aims to overcome the damage of existing facilities, ensuring safety for students, teachers and workers in the teaching, learning, and living process.
The renovated and repaired items include a 4-story classroom building with a floor area of about 1,850m2; a 5-story classroom building with a floor area of about 2,260m2.
The student dormitory area is also located in the project, with a floor area of about 615m2. In addition, the project will renovate and repair the exterior area such as the schoolyard of about 3,940m2, bushes, steps and some related items.
The synchronous upgrading of items is expected to improve learning, teaching and semi-boarding living conditions, and at the same time gradually complete the school's facilities according to the requirements of education innovation.
The project belongs to group C, with a total investment of 24 billion VND, used entirely from the provincial budget. The implementation time and expected progress are from 2026 to 2028.
