In recent days, public opinion has been interested in articles analyzing statistics of high school graduation exam scores in 2026.
On social networks, some accounts shared data analysis results stating that a very high density of Math scores appeared in an exam cluster in Lao Cai province.
According to circulated information, a series of consecutive registration numbers including 336 candidates had outstandingly high Math scores.
Among the total of 60 exam papers achieving a score of 10 in Mathematics in the whole province, up to 41 papers belong to this group of candidates, although they only account for about 2% of the total number of candidates taking the exam. From there, some opinions on social networks questioned the distribution of scores.

Mr. Luyen Huu Chung - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province - said that immediately after grasping the information, the Department established a working group to inspect and review all related data.
Establish a working group to review the entire situation. Basically, we have not detected any abnormal signs in that dot range. If public opinion raises the issue, the Department's responsibility is to inspect and review, and if necessary, report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training," Mr. Chung said.
According to the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province, the number range mentioned belongs to the exam cluster of specialized schools in the area.
The appearance of many exam papers achieving from 8 to 10 points, including many perfect scores, is considered suitable for the abilities of specialized students, especially in specialized natural science classes.
However, in the face of different opinions from public opinion, the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training said that it will continue to review objectively and comprehensively to ensure the seriousness and transparency of the exam, and at the same time be ready to provide data for competent authorities to coordinate in checking and clarifying when requested.
