On May 12, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Trung Ba has just issued a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on accelerating the construction progress of 4 inter-level boarding schools in border communes including Muong Khuong, Y Ty, Pha Long and A Mu Sung.
Accordingly, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requests the Departments of Finance, Education and Training, Construction, Agriculture and Environment; People's Committees of border communes and the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to focus on removing difficulties and accelerating construction to ensure putting schools into operation before August 30, 2026.
The province assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently review the recommendations and proposals of the investor; guide and thoroughly resolve obstacles under its authority to ensure progress and quality of the project.
For slow-progress projects, the province requests the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to have drastic solutions to accelerate construction.

Contractors must increase labor, arrange sufficient machinery, equipment, and materials; organize "3 shifts, 4 crews" construction, working "through holidays, day and night" to compensate for progress.
Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also requested to resolutely handle slow and weak contractors; consider transferring volumes or adding capable subcontractors to ensure progress according to the plan.
The investor must be fully responsible for the progress, quality, volume and efficiency of project implementation.
The timely operation of 4 inter-level boarding schools in the border area is expected to contribute to improving learning and living conditions for highland students, meeting the teaching and learning needs in difficult areas.
