Of which, the Tet holiday for students in Kon Tum province will last the longest, from January 24, 2025 (December 25, year of Giap Thin) to February 7, 2025 (January 10, year of At Ty). If Saturday and Sunday are included, students in this province can have up to 17 days off for Tet.
The locality with the fewest days off for students is currently Ho Chi Minh City (9 days, from January 25, 2025, the 26th day of the 12th lunar month, to February 2, 2025, the 5th day of the 1st lunar month). Thus, the difference in the number of days off between these two provinces and cities is up to 8 days.
In Soc Trang, the Lunar New Year holiday for students is from January 27, 2025 to February 8, 2025.
Similarly in Tra Vinh, according to the 2024-2025 school year plan, students will have holidays according to the 2019 Labor Code, and a 2-week Lunar New Year holiday from January 20, 2025 to February 1, 2025.
However, if Sundays are included, both provinces have a total Tet holiday of 15 days.
In Kien Giang, although according to the school year plan, students will have a 2-week Lunar New Year holiday, the locality has not announced the detailed holiday schedule.
In Long An province, the Tet holiday according to regulations is 10 days, from January 24, 2025 (December 25 of the lunar calendar) to February 2, 2025 (January 5 of the lunar calendar).
In Binh Phuoc province, holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code. If a holiday or Tet holiday falls on a weekend, the next working day will be compensated.
For preschool and primary schools: Lunar New Year holiday according to regulations from January 20, 2025 to January 31, 2025 (12 days).
For secondary schools, high schools, and continuing education: Lunar New Year holiday according to regulations from January 25, 2025 to February 1, 2025 (8 days).
In reality, after the end of Tet holiday is Saturday and Sunday, so preschool, primary school, middle school, high school, and vocational education students in this province can have Tet holiday for 14 and 9 days respectively.
