Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee has just issued framework plan No. 2034 dated August 11 on the school year time for preschool education, general education and continuing education, applied in Ha Tinh province from the 2026 - 2027 school year and subsequent school years. Specifically, starting school is as early as one week before the opening day. For grades 1, 9, and 12, starting school is as early as two weeks before the opening day.

For the 2026 - 2027 school year: School starts on August 28. For grades 1, 9, and 12, school starts on August 24.

Opening ceremony is held on September 5 every year. End the first semester before January 18 every year, complete the program and end the school year before May 31 every year.

Considering recognition of completion of the primary school program and considering recognition of completion of the secondary school program before June 30. Complete enrollment for the first grades before July 31 every year.

Organize the high school graduation exam according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, expected to take place on June 11 and 12 every year.

In case of abnormal situations (natural disasters, epidemics, extremely harsh weather,...) in the area that cannot be organized for teaching and learning, heads of educational institutions proactively let students take leave from school after reporting to the direct management level and local authorities; then arrange serious compensatory teaching and learning, ensuring the school year program and plan.

In case the weather is too harsh and natural disasters are within the scope of affecting the whole province, the Director of the Department of Education and Training is assigned to decide to let students throughout the sector take leave from school.
