Ninh Binh - Schools are urgently cleaning, renovating, and reviewing facilities to ensure conditions to welcome new school year students.

These days, preparations for the 2026 - 2027 school year at educational institutions in Ninh Binh province are entering the final sprint stage.

From cleaning campuses, classrooms, rearranging tables and chairs to checking electricity, water, and teaching equipment systems... are being focused on by schools to ensure that schools are clean and safe before welcoming students.

At Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary School (Hoa Lu ward, Ninh Binh province), the school is urgently implementing the repair of degraded classrooms, toilet areas and re-roofing the corrugated iron roof of the parking garage...

Ms. Trinh Thi Van Khanh - Principal of Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary School - shared that in parallel with completing procedures to arrange schools according to the province's policy, the school is urgently completing the repair of facilities and renovating classrooms to be ready to enter the new school year.

According to the plan, the repair and renovation of the school's facilities and classrooms will be completed before August 25 to be ready to welcome students into the new school year" - Ms. Khanh said.

Along with cleaning classrooms, schools also review facilities at risk of degradation, inspect classrooms, functional rooms, and teaching equipment. Items that can be repaired are prioritized for early completion, avoiding affecting teaching and learning activities when the school year begins.

According to Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training, it is expected that in the 2026 - 2027 school year, Ninh Binh province will enroll about 60,775 first-grade students with 1,716 classes arranged; about 69,688 6th-grade students with 1,549 classes and about 44,991 10th-grade high school students.

The entire Ninh Binh Education sector currently manages more than 1,455 educational institutions, nearly 1 million students and more than 50,000 management staff, teachers, and staff. With this scale, ensuring sufficient schools, classrooms and teaching equipment continues to be a major task, not only in this school year but also in the following years.

Mr. Dinh Van Kham - Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training - said that in fact, school facilities in some communes in the province are still difficult.

Some educational institutions have not ensured the area according to regulations, and there is still a shortage of classrooms, subject rooms, functional rooms, teaching equipment and conditions to serve digital transformation.

Especially in urban areas, industrial parks and areas with rapid population growth, the risk of school overload is still present.

Faced with this reality, Ninh Binh province requests the Education sector to coordinate with communes and wards to continue reviewing the needs of schools and classrooms, taking advantage of redundant facilities and public offices to serve education; and at the same time develop plans for classrooms, functional rooms, infrastructure and teaching equipment for the next phase.

The time from now until the day students return to school is not much. Therefore, at educational institutions, each part of the work is being urgently completed, with the goal of ensuring that schools are spacious, clean, safe, ready to welcome students into the new school year" - Mr. Kham said.
