This year, VNU-HCM continues to issue electronic certificates instead of paper copies as in recent years.
Previously, on April 5, more than 133,000 candidates participated in the first round of competency assessment exam in 2026 organized by VNU-HCM in 15 provinces and cities.
According to VNU-HCM, the score distribution of this exam phase is in a near-standard distribution form, with both average and intermediate scores reaching 682 points. The standard deviation is 141.2, showing a reasonable dispersion level, helping to classify candidates effectively.
Statistics show that about 30% of candidates achieved below 600 points, 55% below 700 points and only about 6% achieved 900 points or more, reflecting a clear differentiation between competency groups. The valedictorian of the exam achieved 1,098 points.

Currently, 118 universities and colleges have registered to use the results of the capacity assessment exam of VNU-HCM for admission consideration in 2026.
