The Capacity Assessment exam of Hanoi National University in 2026 includes 6 exam phases, taking place from March 7 to May 24 in many localities. Through the first 3 exam phases of the year, more than 57,000 candidates took the exam.

As a result, the average score of more than 57,200 candidates is 78.2/150. This score is lower than the average score of last year by 0.6.
The highest score of the first 3 HSA exams in 2026 is 129/150, the lowest score is 22/150.
The percentage of candidates achieving scores from 110 and above accounts for nearly 1.9%; scores from 105 and above account for about 4.23%; scores from 100 and above account for 8.5%; scores from 90 and above account for 23.1%; scores from 80 and above account for 45.2%; scores from 75 and above account for 58%.
The 2026 competency assessment exam is organized in 6 exam phases from March to May in many provinces and cities. A total of more than 120,000 candidates registered to take the exam. The exam results are used for admissions by more than 100 universities nationwide.
The exam questions are designed to assess the core competencies of students in line with the orientation of the 2018 General Education Program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The exam codes of candidates are automatically combined by software based on the rule of generating exam questions according to the common matrix to increase objectivity, strictly control security content, reduce errors, and balance the equivalence of difficulty between exam codes to ensure fairness for candidates. In the official exam, there are some test questions that do not count points (candidates are given added test time for test questions).
The competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University in 2026 has a structure of 3 parts, with a maximum total score of 150 in 195 minutes:
Part 1: Mathematics and data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes).
Part 2: Language - Literature (50 questions, 60 minutes).
Part 3: Choice – Science/English (50 questions, 60 minutes). Candidates choose 3 out of 5 topics: Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography or English.
