This year, after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the high school graduation exam scores, many universities in Ho Chi Minh City have announced the admission floor score threshold.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology said that in 2025, the school will have 2 floor scores: 18 points for the method of considering academic records and 15 points for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and considering the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam/V-SAT exam (point converted to a 30-point scale).
For sectors in the Health group, the threshold for ensuring input quality is implemented according to separate regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
At Hong Bang International University, the floor score for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and the admission method combining high school graduation exam scores with grade 12 transcripts (1 subject + 2 subjects for high school graduation exam) is 15 points.
If based on the academic results, candidates must have an average score of 18 points for 3 subjects in grade 12 (total combination of 3 subjects in grade 12) or an average of 6 points or more for the entire 12th grade year. With the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test or V-SAT, the school receives applications from 15 points (exchanged to a 30-point scale).
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance also announced that the school's application score based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam will be 15 points for all training majors; with the method of considering grade 12 transcripts in a combination of 3 subjects and considering the average score of grade 12 transcripts for the entire year, the application score is 18.
For the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, the school has a score of 600/1,200 points, the V-SAT exam is 225/450 points.
The University of Finance - Marketing takes the floor score of 15 based on the high school graduation exam scores. For the Economic Law major, additional Math scores are required to reach 6.0 points or more.
For the method of considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the admission floor score of Hoa Sen University is from 15-17. Of which, the major with 17 points includes Sports Economics and Financial Technology. The 16-point industry is artificial intelligence. The remaining majors have 15 points.
In the method of considering transcripts, the floor score is 18 with 3 forms: Considering the results of 3 semesters; considering the results of transcripts according to a combination of 3 subjects and considering the results of 6 semesters.
With the method of considering the scores of the competency assessment exam, candidates need to achieve 600 points (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and 67 points (Hanoi National University) to be able to register for admission. The conversion score to the Ministry of Education and Training's 30th scale is 15 points.
For admission by interview with the Industry Council, the direct admission method prescribed by Hoa Sen University is to achieve 18 points or more (on a 30-point scale).
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to have a floor score for the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam at 16 points for all majors.
Admission scores are calculated by the total scores of the three subjects in the admission combination (not multiplied by coefficient), not adding priority points by area or subject.
For the admission method using the results of the competency assessment exam (DGNL) organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, the expected floor score is 600 points for the majors.
For the group of Law majors, the threshold for ensuring input quality has a total minimum score of 720 points, at the same time the minimum Vietnamese language score is 180 points and the minimum Math score is 180 points.
