Launching the National Press Award for the cause of Vietnamese education in 2025
On the afternoon of July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) launched the 8th National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education" - 2025. The tournament is held annually in coordination between the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism and the Vietnam Journalists Association. The award aims to honor outstanding journalism works in the education sector as well as individuals and groups that have made many contributions to the cause of "growing people".
The entries are print, electronic, television and radio newspapers published and broadcast from September 5, 2024 to September 4, 2025. Each author/group of authors submits a maximum of 5 works. The work must not violate professional ethics, law or copyright disputes. Members of the Organizing Committee, Jury, and Secretariat are not allowed to participate in the contest. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 15, 2025.
The award structure includes 1 Special Prize (60 million VND), each type of press has 1 First Prize (30 million VND), 2 Second Prizes (15 million VND), 3 Third Prizes (10 million VND), and Encouragement Prizes (5 million VND). In addition, there is a prize for 2 outstanding characters in the winning work (10 million VND/character). The organizing committee can award additional prizes depending on the reality of each year.
List of valedictorians of the 2025 high school graduation exam

The 2025 high school graduation exam recorded many candidates with excellent high scores, including 9 valedictorians with absolute scores of 30/30 in the two admission combinations A00 (Math - Physics - Chemistry) and B00 (Math - Chemistry - Biology). In particular, 8 contestants with 30 round scores in block A00 came from provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh.
Among these, Nguyen Viet Hung - a student at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (Hanoi) stands out. The 12th grade English major guy simultaneously "held" 5 department head titles. The titles include: Senior in high school graduation exam, senior in A01 (Math, Physics, English), senior in C01 (Math, Literature, Physics), senior in D01 (Math, Literature, English), senior in D11 (Literature, Physics, English).
In addition, Tran Duc Tai (HCMC) was the only contestant to achieve 30 absolute points in the B00 group, and Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi (Nghe An) led the C00 group with 29.75 points. Universities begin to announce the admission floor score for 2025
Right after having high school graduation exam scores in 2025, many universities have announced the admission floor score. Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) receives admission documents based on high school graduation exam results with a floor score of 15 points for all majors; 18 points for grade 12 transcripts and 600/1200 points for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam (or 225/450 points for the V-SAT exam).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) also announced the floor score from 15 points according to the 2025 high school graduation exam scores, down 1 - 4 points compared to the previous year. With the transcript method, candidates need to achieve 18 combined scores of 3 subjects of grade 12; based on the results of National High School Examination or V-SAT, candidates need to achieve 15 points (exchanged on a 30-point scale). For the Health sector alone, the floor score will follow separate regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Hong Bang International University accepts admission documents based on high school graduation exam scores or a combination of high school graduation exam scores and transcript scores with a floor score of 15 points for all majors.
