The Academy of Finance has coordinated with ACCA to organize the program "Students of the Academy of Finance - Shaping a career path in a dynamic job world".
One of the contents that received much attention from students was topics related to AI in the fields of finance, accounting and taxation.
Sharing at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu - Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance - affirmed that the development of AI, big data and digital transformation is reshaping the role of human resources in the financial - accounting sector.

This poses a requirement to innovate the training program, and at the same time requires students to equip themselves with professional skills, digital thinking and lifelong learning ability to meet the needs of the labor market.
At the discussion session "Changes in the Finance - Accounting - Auditing industry in the 4.0 era", Mr. Hoang Hoai Nam - Director of Auditing and Training, Crown Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd. - also said that AI and digital technology are being increasingly widely applied in data processing, information analysis and supporting automation of many jobs in the finance - accounting sector.
According to Mr. Nam, the development of technology, from robot automation to smart automation with the application of AI, will completely change traditional working methods, and at the same time, require workers to improve their ability to use technology and data analysis thinking to avoid falling behind.

For the tax industry, in the topic "How AI and Technology are Transforming the Tax Industry", Mr. Vo Hung - Financial - Accounting Director of BR24 Vietnam - said that the tax industry is strongly shifting from manual processing models to data management and technology application.
AI tools can support automation of many tasks such as data processing, document comparison and detection of errors in a shorter time. However, according to Mr. Hung, humans still play an important role in evaluating and making final decisions based on the actual context of the business.
Not only talking about technology, experts also emphasize the role of soft skills in the AI era. Mr. Dao Duc Anh Dung - Director of Auditing & Assurance Services at Deloitte - said that employers today highly appreciate the ability to solve problems, adapt to change, critical thinking and working skills in a multicultural environment.
According to Mr. Dung, AI can support faster data processing than humans, but factors such as strategic thinking, cooperation ability and professional ethics are still important advantages for workers.
Faced with the digital transformation wave, experts also advise students to proactively equip themselves with core technology skills such as advanced Excel, Power BI or SQL early to increase competitiveness and be ready to adapt to new job positions.
Through direct dialogue activities with experts, the organizers expect the program to help students better understand the requirements of the labor market, thereby proactively preparing necessary skills right from when they are still in school.
