According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), 12th grade students in the 2024-2025 school year nationwide can register for the high school graduation exam online on the Ministry's exam management system using their accounts and passwords issued by the school.
Candidates are free to register online using a VNeID account through the National Public Service Portal.
This year, the registration period for the high school graduation exam is earlier than in 2024. Candidates can register for the exam from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28, instead of from April 2 to 5:00 p.m. on April 10 like last year.
Before the official exam registration period, candidates can practice registering for the exam online. The registration review period is from April 15 to April 18.
Candidates should note this time frame to log in to the system, register for the exam according to instructions to get acquainted with the registration process; at the same time, grasp the necessary information and requirements to proactively prepare before registering officially, thereby limiting errors and confusion.
The Ministry of Education and Training notes that when registering for the exam, candidates' photos on the system must ensure a minimum resolution of 400 x 600 pixel, taken in the ID card format and no more than 6 months before the application submission period. During the process of registering for the exam, registering for preliminary admission, and registering for university and college admission, candidates must use a single type of identification document: ID card/CCCD/DDCN/passport number.
Within the registration period, candidates who wish to register for university or college admission must declare on the software in full, correct information with evidence to receive priority in university or college admission according to regulations and instructions.
Candidates should note that one of the important new points in this year's high school graduation exam is the graduation formula. Of which, the graduation exam score accounts for 50%, the remaining 50% is the result of 3 years of high school.
This is a fundamental change from the 2025 high school graduation exam compared to 2024. Previously, the graduation exam score accounted for 70%, the results of three years of high school were 30%.
Therefore, students should maintain stable academic results right from grades 10 and 11, because their academic records account for a higher proportion in graduation consideration.
