Ho Ngoc Thao Nguyen (born in 2006, from Nghe An) once set a goal of being admitted to Hanoi National University of Education in the 2024 university entrance exam but failed.
After 1 year of trying, Thao Nguyen was admitted to the Literature Pedagogy major at Hanoi National University of Education this year.

With a converted score of 28.31, only 0.04 points higher than the standard score for Math Pedagogy, Phung Xuan Thanh (Xuan Phuong, Hanoi) - feels lucky to be admitted to the Math Pedagogy major, Hanoi National University of Education.
"This is beyond my expectations when I passed with such a good score. I feel lucky to have enrolled in school" - Xuan Thanh said.

Along with Thao Nguyen and Xuan Thanh, thousands of other students were also present from early morning to complete the admission procedures. On the day of admission, the Management Board of Hanoi National University of Education's dormitory prepared to welcome students.
The school prioritizes 1,100 new K75 students with accommodation needs in addition to the total 2,600 seats of the entire dormitory. The student and parent reception points at the dormitory are also arranged scientifically to avoid overload.
According to the plan, after completing the admission procedures, Hanoi National University of Education will hold the Opening Ceremony on September 5. From September 6 to September 12, new students will participate in the "Citizen - Student Activity Week".
In 2025, the benchmark scores of 48 majors and programs of Hanoi National University of Education range from 19 to 29.06 (on a 30-point scale). The History Pedagogy industry is at the forefront. Some majors are above 28 such as Political Education and Pedagogy, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Geography.
The two majors with admission scores below 20 are Biology and Biotechnology (not a teacher training group).

However, according to Thao Nguyen and Xuan Thanh, preferential policies on tuition fees and benefits are part of the reason why students are attracted to apply to pedagogical schools despite their high competition rate.
"I am also worried about whether I can get a job after graduation. But becoming a teacher has been my dream since I was a child. After 4 years of university, I may return to Nghe An, participate in recruitment and work here" - Thao Nguyen expressed.
According to experts, with current policies and incentives, it is predicted that in the coming years, the appeal of the pedagogical industry will continue to increase. This also requires training institutions to continue to innovate teaching content and methods, improve quality to meet social needs.
