Times Higher Education (THE) on June 24th announced the Sustainability Impact Ranking 2026.

This is a review of schools on the implementation of 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as gender equality, climate protection, good health and life, quality education, cooperation for development goals, and reducing inequality...

Vietnam has 17 representatives in the rankings, an increase of one compared to last year.

Notably, Phenikaa University rose to the group of 401 - 600 most influential educational institutions in the world, a sharp increase from the group of 1,001 - 1,500 of the previous ranking. This is the highest result of the school since participating in this ranking.

In particular, Phenikaa University has SDGs (important sustainable development goals) with outstanding progress and high rankings such as: Health and Good Life (SDG 3) and Clean Energy at a reasonable price (SDG 7) ranked in the world group 101 - 200; Quality Education (SDG 4) and Good Jobs and Economic Growth (SDG 8) ranked in the world group 201 - 300.

Previously, in April 2026, the school was awarded the Leadership and Management Team of the Year award at THE Awards Asia 2026, marking the first time a Vietnamese higher education institution has been honored in this category.

The award is given to leadership teams that have created outstanding changes in governance, development strategies and university operational capacity in Asia.

Thus, in just two months, Phenikaa University has been continuously recognized by THE in two core aspects of a modern university: leadership and management capacity and the ability to create positive values for society.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh, Deputy General Director of Phenikaa University, affirmed that being continuously recognized by THE is a great source of encouragement for the school. However, the most important thing is not the ranking or award, but the values that those achievements bring to learners and society.

We want to build an environment where students not only receive knowledge but also have the ability to create value and positive impact and serve the community," Mr. Khanh said.

The results recorded at THE Impact Rankings 2026 are reflected in Phenikaa's many specific activities in the fields of education, health, innovation and sustainable development.

One of the orientations prioritized by Phenikaa in the current period is the development of human resources for high-tech fields.

In 2026, Phenikaa University will implement an integrated master's program in the field of Computer Science and Semiconductor Science & Technology according to the Government's Project "Training human resources to serve high-tech development in the period 2025–2030 and orientation to 2045".

Admitted students are 100% supported with tuition fees, free dormitories and have the opportunity to receive Phenikaa Group Chairman's Scholarship with a total support value of up to about 625 million VND for the entire course.

For learners, these efforts are transformed into a training environment where students have the opportunity to participate in scientific research, practice in the business - research institute - hospital ecosystem and access new technologies right from the first school years.
