On June 1, a clip longer than 1 minute appeared on Facebook recording the scene of a male student being chased and beaten by a group of teenagers.
In the clip, the male student was attacked many times with a helmet on his head and body. The incident quickly attracted the attention of local public opinion.
According to posted information, the victim is an 8th grade student, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School. The family said that this male student had previously been beaten with a stick by someone in the group of students on the video even though they did not know each other and had no prior conflicts.

Fearing retaliation, the male student did not dare to tell his relatives about the incident. Only when the clip spread on social networks did the incident become known to many people.
The family reflected that the incident did not stop there when the male student continued to be chased and beaten by the above group for the second time.
During the assault, the subjects were said to have used helmets to repeatedly hit the victim's head and body, causing the helmet to break.
According to content shared on social networks, the group of students participating in beating the male student is said to be studying at K.T. Secondary School.
The family expressed concern about the aggressive nature of the incident and requested functional agencies to soon intervene to verify and clarify.

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhat - Chairman of Lao Cai Ward People's Committee said that the locality has grasped information about the incident that is spreading on social networks.
We have assigned relevant units to investigate and clarify the reflected content and will have a specific report on the incident in the near future," Mr. Nhat informed.
The case is being verified and clarified by functional agencies for handling according to the provisions of law.
