On April 18, the People's Committee of Bac Gia Nghia Ward (Lam Dong) said that it had sent a report to the Department of Education and Training about the incident of a male student fainting and then dying immediately afterwards.
According to initial information, at about 7:20 am on April 17, at Chu Van An Secondary School, during a physical education class, Nguyen Hoang G.B (9th grade student) was warming up to prepare for basketball lessons when he suddenly fainted.
Discovering the incident, the teacher performed initial first aid and took him to the Ward Health Station for emergency treatment.
Due to the worsening condition, the male student was continuously transferred to Dak Nong Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment, but died later.
Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee has directed the school and mass organizations to visit, encourage, and support the student's family; and at the same time coordinate with functional agencies to clarify the cause of the incident.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
