On the night of April 13, information from the People's Committee of Thieu Trung commune, Thanh Hoa province said that functional forces had found the body of the male student who drowned and went missing earlier.
Specifically, the male student's body was found at about 7 pm in the canal, belonging to Dong Son ward, about 8 km from the accident site.
Currently, the victim's body has been taken to Thieu Trung commune to hand over to the family for funeral arrangements according to customs" - representative of Thieu Trung Commune People's Committee said.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the afternoon of April 11, L.H. T. A. (born in 2010, residing in Thieu Trung commune, Thanh Hoa province) went to the canal bank to play with a group of friends. When she went down to wash her hands, she unfortunately slipped and fell into the fast-flowing water.
Immediately after that, the group of friends who came along called for help from people to rescue but did not see the victim.
Upon receiving the news, functional forces, local authorities and volunteer rescue teams mobilized personnel and vehicles to organize the search.
After 3 days of searching efforts, the male student's body was found.
