Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Kim Son shared: The provinces and cities in the Northern region have been going through particularly difficult days due to the severe impact of storm No. 10.
In the general damage, the education sector also suffered many losses. According to initial information from some localities, thousands of schools have been damaged; millions of students have not been able to go to school.
In response to the above heavy damage, and at the same time responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with responsibility and spirit with the whole country towards the provinces and cities in the Northern region, towards the people, soldiers, teachers, and students affected by storms and floods, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Trade Union organized "Supporting people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10".
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Minister Nguyen Kim Son called on the entire education sector, cadres, civil servants, public employees, employees, students, and organizations and individuals inside and outside the sector to join hands, contribute materially, spiritually, with support, encouragement, and connection to share difficulties with people in flood-affected areas in general and with the education sector of the northern provinces and cities in particular.


At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, units and individuals inside and outside the education sector donated a total of more than 3.6 billion VND.
The Minister noted that immediately after this fundraising launching ceremony, the transfer of support to the subjects needs to be done as soon as possible. In particular, priority is given to supporting people, first of all teachers and students. These are teachers who have suffered losses, have difficulty with living conditions, means of transportation; and students who will not be able to continue to go to school without support...
The Minister also requested the Departments of Education and Training and educational institutions to increase propaganda about support and contributions, including for students.
