On the morning of September 23, according to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Ha Tinh province, due to moderate to heavy rain in the province, the water level on Ngan Pho river is rising rapidly; Ngan Sau and La rivers are rising again. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the water level on Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho and La rivers will continue to rise.
Currently in Huong Son district, some spillways have been flooded, including: Trung spillway, Dai Kim, Son Kim 1 commune, Khe Sinh spillway, Lam Linh, Son Linh commune, Pho Tay spillway, Son Tay commune, Pho Giang, Pho Chau town, Khe Don, Linh Hong, Son Hong commune. In addition, some inter-village, commune and inter-commune roads are locally flooded.
On flooded roads, communes have deployed guards to ensure safety for people and vehicles. The district has 17 schools with 5,643 students having to stay home from school. Of these, there are 8 kindergartens, 5 primary schools, and 4 secondary schools.
In Huong Khe district, due to some localized flooding on some roads, students at some schools had to stay home from school.
According to data from the Huong Khe Department of Education and Training, on the morning of September 23, although schools maintained normal teaching and learning, 3,376 students had to stay home from school, mainly preschool and primary school students.
Duc Tho district flooded some inter-village roads and alleys, such as Tien Phong, Quang Loc 1, Vinh Hoa villages of Quang Vinh commune; Khanh Ninh, Quyet Tien, Phuc Loc villages of Bui La Nhan commune; Van Khang, Dai Chau, Tan An, Thinh Kim, Thanh Kim villages of Tung Chau commune.
There are currently 4 schools with 1,158 students out of school. These include 2 kindergartens, 1 primary school and 1 secondary school.
Currently, local units are focusing on seriously, fully and promptly implementing the instructions of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue.
