On the evening of June 4, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced the admission information for 2025 with changes in admission combinations, surprising parents and students.
This year, the school organizes admissions in 3 methods, specifically:
- Method 1 (301): Direct admission and priority admission according to the current Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Method 2 (401): Admission results of valid HSA exams of Hanoi National University.
- Method 3 (100): Admission results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Notably, regarding the admission combination, the school has abandoned the C00 block (Literature, History, Geography) with many hot majors such as Journalism, Public Relations, Psychology, vuong Dong Hoc... In previous years, the school used this group to consider admission for most majors.

However, the school expanded the D14 block (Literature, History, English) to most majors, instead of only 4 majors as last year. In particular, the D15 (Literature, Geography, English) and D66 (Literature, English, Economic and Legal Education) were newly added by the school, also applied to most majors.
This year's admission season also saw the University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi abandon the traditional admission combination of C00 with the major of Law. The A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and D03 (Math, Literature, French) blocks are also no longer on the list of admission combinations.
Candidates also no longer use the D78 and D82 blocks to apply to school because the combined exam is no longer available in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
In addition, the school has added many new admission combinations such as C03 (Math, Literature, History), A07 (Math, History, Geography), D14 (Literature, History, English) and D15 (Literature, Geography, English) for the school's majors.
The University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi will enroll students in 2025 with more than 1,000 quotas and 4 admission methods, specifically as follows:
The Academy of Journalism and Communication has also announced its admission plan for this year, in which the school completely eliminates admission to the C00 block, which has been used to admission to a number of political theory majors for many years. At the same time, Geography no longer appears in admission combinations for all majors.

The University of Procuracy also removed the C00 (Literature, History, Geography) group that has been used for many years for admission, according to the expected admission plan for 2025.
However, the school has expanded opportunities for candidates, using many admission combinations using subjects in block C00 such as C03 (Literature, Math, History), D14 (Literature, History, English), D15 (Literature, Geography, English) ... The school organizes admission with a total of 11 combinations.
