It is expected that this afternoon (July 18), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the additional admission scores (phase 2) for grade 10 of public high schools for special and non-professional majors in the 2025-2026 school year.
To avoid unfortunate mistakes that affect their rights, students should pay attention to immediately reviewing whether their school registers to wish to have a standard downgrade or not, and how the downgrade is.
At the same time, students compare with their achieved exam results and remember the principle: Students who have passed the first wish list will not be considered for the second and third wish list.
According to regulations, students who do not pass the 1st wish list will be considered for the 2nd wish list but must have an admission score at least 1 point higher than the school's benchmark.
Students who do not pass the first and second wishes will be considered for the third wishes but must have an admission score at least 2 points higher than the school's benchmark.
In case the school wishes to do 1st sub-standard and students are eligible for admission, but have enrolled in the second wish list, students have the right to withdraw their application from the school they have enrolled in to transfer to the place they wish to 1.
In this additional admission period, students must register to study directly at school.
In case they are not admitted to any public school, students can register to be admitted to private schools, vocational education centers - continuing education or vocational education institutions.
Students who are eligible for additional admission will submit their application directly to the school where they were admitted, the application submission period is from July 19 to July 22, 2025.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the whole city has 3 specialized schools and 60 non-specialized high schools approved for additional admission.
