Today, September 5th, is the national day for children to go to school.
At Viet Trieu Huu Nghi Kindergarten (Hanoi), from 6:30 am, many parents brought their children to school, preparing to welcome the opening ceremony of the 2026 - 2027 school year. The school has arranged a lion dance team right at the school gate area, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere for the "all people bring children to school" day.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong and her husband brought their child to Viet Trieu Huu Nghi High-Quality Kindergarten (Hanoi) to attend the new school year opening ceremony. For her, this is a special day when witnessing her child grow up one step further. Ms. Duong said that she was both nervous and happy to see her child enter the new school year.
In the bustling atmosphere of the school start day, her child is still a bit unfamiliar with the environment and new activities. However, her child's excitement makes her and her husband even more looking forward to the experiences in the upcoming school year. The couple takes the opportunity to save memorable moments of their child on the first day of the school year, from simple but meaningful images for each family. Ms. Duong hopes that in the new school year, her child will always be diligent, study well, bold and have more joy when going to school.
At the opening ceremony, Viet Trieu Huu Nghi Kindergarten was honored to welcome the Embassy of the DPRK.
Mr. Ri Sung Guk - Ambassador of the DPRK said that nearly half a century since its establishment, the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Kindergarten has not only fully promoted its role as a proud educational institution for generations of students and parents in Vietnam, but also a vivid symbol of friendship between the two countries.
Over the past time, the fact that many generations of preschoolers studying here have known about the friendship between the two countries from childhood, learned about the traditions and cultures of the two nations, is extremely important in promoting the good friendship history from generation to generation.
Viet Trieu Huu Nghi Kindergarten was established on March 8, 1978. After 48 years of construction and development, Viet Trieu Huu Nghi Kindergarten was recognized by the Hanoi City People's Committee as a National Standard School level 2 - achieving level 3 quality accreditation and a High Quality Kindergarten.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ri Sung Guk said: "The consistent stance of our Party and Government is to constantly expand and comprehensively develop the friendly and cooperative relationship with Vietnam according to the legacy of previous Leaders. We firmly believe that the serious implementation of the high-level agreements reached at the historic summit in Pyongyang in October 2025 will promote the relationship between the two countries to develop more and more brilliantly.
The DPRK Ambassador expressed his wish that the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Kindergarten will continue to play a good role in imparting to the younger generation the careers of the predecessors, who have nurtured and left behind a valuable common asset, which is the friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries; thereby contributing to consolidating and forever transmitting the solidarity and friendship between North Korea and Vietnam.
In particular, I hope that all the respected officials and teachers of the Vietnam-North Korea Friendship Kindergarten will fulfill their responsibilities and glorious mission: to be both "garders" taking care of the seedlings for the future of the two countries' relations, and to be guides in transmitting the tradition of friendship to future generations," said the DPRK Ambassador.
