On the morning of September 5th, the yard of Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School was filled with flags and flowers. In brand new uniforms and bright red scarves, students excitedly reunited with teachers and friends, eagerly entering the classroom.
The opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year is even more special when the new multi-level boarding school is inaugurated and put into use, creating better learning and living conditions for students in the western border region of Nghe An.
The Hanh Lam Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School construction project has a total investment of 365.607 billion VND, planned on an area of 63,626 m2, of which the school construction area is 48,875 m2. According to the design, the school has a scale of 38 classes with 1,240 boarding students, including 16 primary classes with 478 students and 22 secondary classes with 762 students; along with a system of classrooms, dormitories and synchronous auxiliary works.
In the 2026-2027 school year, Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School has 57 classes with 2,098 students. In which, primary school has 35 classes, 1,116 students; secondary school has 22 classes, 982 students.
The school organizes teaching at 3 locations. The main location has 37 classes with 1,482 students; the remaining two locations have 616 elementary school students. The whole school currently has 106 officials, teachers, and staff.
Mr. Nguyen Nhat Viet - Principal of Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School said that the new, spacious, and modern facilities create more favorable conditions for teaching and learning.

Teachers and students are increasingly aware of their responsibilities, determined to improve the quality of education, effectively use invested works and build schools to develop more and more" - teacher Nguyen Nhat Viet shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh Van, a primary school teacher, is also happy that students in border areas are studying in better conditions.
The concern of the Party and State is a great source of encouragement for teachers and students. We will continue to innovate methods, improve the quality of each lesson, and help students have more opportunities to rise up," Ms. Van said.
For Tran Linh Nhi - class monitor of class 9A1, this year's opening day brings many special emotions.
“I am very happy and proud to study in a new spacious school with better learning conditions. We thank the Party, the State and the teachers. I will try to study and train really well to become a useful person in the future, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland” - Linh Nhi shared.
The school has many teachers who have achieved high results in teaching and fostering excellent students such as Bien Tien Hung, Nguyen Thi Xuan, Nguyen Vu Thang, Bui Thi Nga, Nguyen Thi Khanh Van...; many students have achieved outstanding results in their studies.
In the remote border region, the new school not only brings better learning conditions, but also opens up more opportunities and belief in a better future for students in the Nghe An border region.
Hanh Lam is a mountainous commune, the border was formed after the arrangement of Hanh Lam commune and Thanh Duc commune of Thanh Chuong district in the past, with an area of about 274.57 km2, a population of nearly 13,700 people. The commune has 23.395 km of border adjacent to Bolikhamsai province of Laos, managing the border section from marker 445 to marker 450.
