Up to now, communes and wards in Ninh Binh have completed the arrangement of public schools according to the plan approved by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and are ready to enter the new school year.
In Cuc Phuong mountainous commune, from 6 schools (2 kindergartens, 2 elementary schools and 2 secondary schools) have been rearranged to 1 kindergarten, 1 elementary school and 1 secondary school.
Mr. Pham Manh Hung - Chairman of Cuc Phuong Commune People's Committee - said: "Up to now (August 20), we have completed the arrangement of public schools in the commune according to the province's plan and are preparing conditions to be ready for the new school year opening ceremony. After arrangement, the number of school focal points decreased by 3 schools, the number of principals decreased by 3 people, and the number of vice principals decreased by 8 people. Currently, for each school, we arrange 1 principal and 2 vice principals. After arrangement, the school sites are all kept unchanged to ensure the travel radius of students".
In Hoa Lu ward, this is one of the only 2 wards in Ninh Binh province with the highest total number of schools after arrangement compared to other localities (from kindergarten to secondary school there are 15 schools, each level 5 schools). Up to this point, the locality has completed the announcement of decisions to establish schools and decisions to appoint principals at schools.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Ha - Vice Chairman of Hoa Lu Ward People's Committee - said: "After arrangement, the total number of public schools from kindergarten to secondary school in the ward has decreased from 44 schools to 15 schools, school sites are still kept the same, the arrangement does not affect students' learning. Currently, schools have not yet completed the completion of the positions of vice principals".
According to the arrangement plan for public educational institutions in Ninh Binh province, 92 high schools and 23 continuing education centers, vocational education centers - continuing education are currently kept unchanged, without arrangement.
100% of kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools implement the arrangement. For 19 communes and wards with population size and area below standard, each locality implements the arrangement, leaving one kindergarten, one primary school and one secondary school.
For the remaining 110 communes and wards, basically each locality organizes the reorganization to have one school at each level of education. Some areas with large scale of students and classes are arranged from 2 to 3 schools per level of education.
Hoa Lu ward and Nam Dinh ward are arranged to have 5 kindergartens, 5 primary schools and 5 secondary schools in each ward. For 33 inter-level primary and secondary schools, primary and secondary levels are separated to merge into schools of the same level in the commune and ward.
After arrangement, the number of public educational institutions from preschool to secondary school levels in Ninh Binh province decreased by 827 units, equivalent to 57%, from 1,451 units to 624 units and a reduction of 827 principals.
