At the national conference summarizing 1 year and 6 months of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that a fundamental and long-term task is to prepare human resources. Accordingly, right from the new school year, the education and training sector and higher education and vocational education institutions need to review training programs, prioritize strategic technology fields, and promote digital skills training, innovation capacity and AI application.
Creating a competitive advantage
Reality shows that many higher education institutions have proactively adjusted their training programs, incorporated content related to digital technology into teaching, and strengthened connections with businesses to update practical needs. These steps not only contribute to improving the quality of training, but also gradually narrow the gap between training and the requirements of the labor market in the digital age.
From a training perspective, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Director of the Institute of International Training, National Economics University - believes that the application of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an inevitable trend in the operation of businesses and organizations. Technology not only helps solve management and operation problems but also contributes to improving productivity and work quality. Therefore, preparing high-quality human resources, especially equipping students with foundational knowledge about AI, Big Data and digital transformation, is very important.
He believes that these knowledge not only help learners understand the nature of issues in their major, but also form the mindset of applying technology to solve practical problems. This is a key factor in helping students improve their adaptive capacity, promote professional efficiency and create a competitive advantage when participating in the labor market.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, in the context of businesses and agencies and organizations increasingly promoting digital transformation, the demand for recruiting human resources capable of mastering technology will continue to increase. Therefore, bringing content on AI, big data and digital transformation into training programs not only meets immediate requirements but is also a long-term strategy to build high-quality human resources for the country.
He assessed that if this orientation is well implemented, Vietnam will not only have the opportunity to catch up but also be able to rise up and create a competitive advantage in the international arena in the digital age.

Meeting new requirements
Many training institutions have implemented specific solutions to bring digital technology into each specialized field. At the Academy of Finance, the innovation of training programs to meet the human resource needs for digital economy development has been implemented synchronously.
According to Dr. Le Tuan Hiep - Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance, the Academy is implementing a number of training programs such as data science, digital finance and digital economy, aiming to deeply integrate technology elements into the financial - accounting field. The combination of traditional financial strengths with new training programs helps expand choices for candidates, while better meeting the requirements of the labor market.
In which, AI is considered one of the important pillars, playing a role in supporting data analysis, trend forecasting and optimizing financial activities.
The trend of integrating technology and AI into the financial - accounting sector is happening very quickly. Without updating the training program, it will be difficult to provide human resources suitable for reality.
Proactively innovating programs, linking training with the needs of businesses and technology trends will create a workforce capable of adapting, mastering technology and leading innovation. This is also the foundation for realizing the goals of developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, contributing to creating new growth momentum and bringing Vietnam firmly into the digital age.
