On March 7, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province) said that the school had just had an incident where a female student beat her friend and brought an electrical short circuit device.
According to the school's report, the two students involved are P.H.Y.N and N.T.L, studying in class 10A7. N beat and slapped L because she suspected L of writing a bad post about her on social media (in anonymous mode).
When attacking her friend, N brought an electrical switch (shaped like a lighter) to threaten her.
Realizing the seriousness of the incident, the school made a report and sent the students' reports, along with the evidence to Thong Nhat Ward Police for clarification. The school's leaders also visited and encouraged the beaten student.
The school is inviting parents to a meeting to consider appropriate handling. It is expected that N will be temporarily suspended from school for a week and after receiving the investigation conclusion from the police, the school will establish a Disciplinary Council to handle it.
Because the incident occurred in the classroom, the school will also criticize the homeroom teacher for not being able to grasp the situation in time. Students who witnessed the incident but did not stop or report it will also be criticized.
