On July 20, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee organized a meeting and commended Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc - a 12th grade student specializing in Physics, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. Bich Ngoc excellently won a Gold Medal at the 56th International Physics Olympiad.
At the 56th International Physics Olympiad, the Vietnamese team achieved excellent results when all 5 participating students won medals. In which, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc excellently won a gold medal, contributing to bringing Vietnam into the group of 7 leading countries, marking the highest achievements at the International Physics Olympiads to date.
At the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee - awarded Certificates of Merit, flowers of congratulation and a bonus of 500 million VND to Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc.

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh presented 250 million VND to teacher Nguyen Hai Duong - Deputy Head of Professional Department of Physics and Technology Department, in charge of the national excellent student team in Physics - Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. Teacher Duong is the companion of Ngoc throughout the journey to conquer the Gold Medal.
Also at the ceremony, authorized by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a meaningful congratulatory gift from the Deputy Prime Minister specifically to the golden female student of the province.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed that Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc's International Physics Olympiad Gold Medal is the result of intelligence, will and persistent learning process; and at the same time is the pride of the family, school, education sector, Ninh Binh province and contributes to affirming Vietnamese intelligence in the international arena.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged the contributions of the Department of Education and Training, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, teachers and family in the process of fostering and accompanying her; and at the same time hoped that Bich Ngoc would continue to nurture her passion for science, study, and research to contribute to her homeland and country.
