Initiated in 2018, the National English Primeval Festival has become a prestigious playground, contributing to arousing the love and improving English proficiency for primary and secondary school students nationwide.
The contestants are students from grades 1 to 8 at high schools nationwide.

"Through the organizing seasons, the program not only trains foreign language skills but also develops the spirit of self-study and creativity - essential qualities in the digital age. Thereby, Vietnamese children can access English in the most natural way, confidently present, confidently speak English to international friends", emphasized journalist Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huu - Head of the National Foreign Language Project Management Department, Ministry of Education and Training (Head of the Competition Judges) - informed that the new point of this year's exam is the application of AI-generating technology.
Specifically, the AI Speak feature of the Edupia AI Class application will provide a real-life simulation environment for students to have the opportunity to practice, reflect and apply English naturally, thereby forming effective self-study skills and preparing a solid foundation for international integration.
According to Ms. Mai Huu, in the context of education undergoing strong changes with digital technology, the innovation of the exam aims to ensure the suitability and feasibility of the nationwide exam.
We hope that through the contest, students will not only master language knowledge, but also develop qualities and abilities such as communication confidence, cooperation spirit, problem-solving ability, lifelong learning awareness, thinking..., Ms. Mai Huu said.
Candidates attending the program will go through 3 main rounds: Speak up with AI Speak (free registration, practice and compete on the AI Speak feature); My school, my Vietnam (performing English video clips from 3 to 5 minutes according to the theme announced by the organizing committee); National final round (taking place in March 2026).
In parallel with the rounds, the program's organizing committee deployed the "Light Up" journey in 15 provinces/cities to spread the self-study movement of English in and out of school for primary and secondary school students nationwide.
The Organizing Committee will also award more than 400,000 "Light Up" scholarships in the form of a course on the Edupia AI Class platform to students in localities with difficult economic conditions such as Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Ca Mau, Dong Thap.
