The Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province has just issued a document directing the implementation of Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Minister of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning. The Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province requires educational institutions to strictly manage the teaching of extra classes outside of school by teachers in accordance with regulations; report on the teaching of teachers of the school participating in extra classes outside of school.
Regularly coordinate with parents, authorities, and local unions in management work, especially in the management of extra teaching and learning.
The Circular has many new points that parents in Hai Duong province expect to include in the regulations on extra teaching and learning both inside and outside the school, avoiding students "having to voluntarily" take extra classes.

Having a son in grade 9 at Tan Binh Secondary School (Hai Duong City), Ms. Nguyen Mai Huong said that the request of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province to require educational institutions to strictly manage extra-curricular teaching by teachers is completely correct.
Promoting her children's self-study at home, Ms. Huong said: "My child is in grade 9, at first I was worried that if he did not take extra classes, the quality of his studies and reviews would be affected. However, I realized that studying at home on its own will be more effective.
I bought documents online and reputable books for my child to review. Studying at home, children have more private space and concentration. In addition, this regulation will help limit the negative aspects of extra teaching and learning".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Van has a child studying in grade 8 at Ngo Gia Tu Secondary School (Hai Duong City). Before the new regulations on extra classes and tutoring, Ms. Van fully supports. According to Ms. Mai Van, the phenomenon of illegal extra teaching and learning is rampant, causing overload and pressure on students, not the first time it is hot.
"Many students go to school all day at school, and continue to study at teachers' houses at night. Not to mention the quality of learning, children's psychology and health are affected to some extent. I completely agree with tightening management of extra teaching and learning.
Not all students go to extra classes well, many children study at home by themselves but the learning results are still good. Personally, I do not send my children to extra classes, I support them to pursue their passion and strengths and do not put pressure on them to study or take exams" - Ms. Van said.
