More than 5,000 parents choose semi-boarding
Bac Nha Trang Primary School is arranged into 1 main school point and 6 branches, with 248 classes, a total of 9,927 students and 362 officials, teachers, and staff.
After implementing the new model, the school's operations are basically stable, without any disruptions. However, the organization of providing semi-boarding meals for students has not yet been agreed upon.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a parent with a child studying in the North Nha Trang area said that on September 13, the school held a parent meeting and publicly consulted on the organization of semi-boarding kitchens for the 2026-2027 school year.

According to this parent, data reported by homeroom teachers shows that more than 5,000 parents choose semi-boarding, accounting for about 55%.
At the meeting, the school organized a vote to choose the option of providing semi-boarding meals in 2 directions.
One is bidding for outside businesses to supply and process meals. Two is for schools to organize cooking themselves.
The boarding meal fee offered by the school is about 30,000 VND/day/student (expected).
In addition, parents also pay about 185,000 VND/child/month (expected) for fuel, semi-boarding services and semi-boarding services...
The homeroom teachers have distributed opinion forms to each parent. After summarizing, the plan that receives more opinions will be considered by the school.
To date, the school is still summarizing opinions and has not announced the results.
In the context that the organization of semi-boarding meals is being required to be strictly managed, ensuring food safety and meal quality, the selection of models suitable to the actual conditions of the school is of particular concern to parents.
Parents have to divide up to pick up their children at noon
Ms. T.T - a parent whose child is in 2nd grade in the North Nha Trang area - said that so far the school has not organized semi-boarding cooking for students.
In the early stages, parents will pick up their children at noon and bring them back to school in the afternoon.
According to Ms. T.T, picking up her young child at noon and preparing food for her is a great pressure, especially when both husband and wife work at state agencies.

In the early days of the school year, the couple had to share the days to pick up their children and prepare lunch for them.
Ms. T.T. hopes that the school will soon choose a model of providing semi-boarding meals suitable to the actual conditions.
Organizing semi-boarding early, according to her, not only reduces the pressure of picking up and dropping off parents but also helps ensure nutrition so that students can study with peace of mind.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuyen - Principal of Bac Nha Trang Primary School - said that after the parent meeting on September 13, the school is collecting opinions on the selection of the semi-boarding meal supply model.
The spirit is that the planning is being urgently implemented by the school to submit the plan to the leaders of Bac Nha Trang Ward People's Committee for approval.
Mr. Bui Vien Nhiem - Head of the Culture and Social Department of Bac Nha Trang ward - shared the hardships of parents in the early stages of arranging the new education model.
Grasping the difficulties of parents, leaders of Bac Nha Trang ward have directed and urged schools to urgently choose semi-boarding models to stabilize teaching and learning activities.
Mr. Nhiem said that the provision of semi-boarding meals is oriented to be organized uniformly in the direction of public bidding, selecting reputable and capable units; avoiding spreading out and difficult management.
