Quang Ngai enrolls more than 5,600 students for four border boarding schools

Quang Ngai - Enrollment work must be completed before July 31 so that schools can prepare facilities, teaching staff and welcome students into the new school year.

There is only more than a month left until the 2026 - 2027 school year. Along with urgently completing construction items, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has approved the enrollment plan for 4 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in land border communes.

Students from grades 1 to 9 are enrolled in the form of admission, without organizing entrance exams. The enrollment subjects are students permanently residing in border communes and adjacent border communes according to regulations.

Four schools are assigned enrollment targets including Duc Nong, Mo Rai, Ro Koi and Sa Loong with a total scale of more than 5,600 students, of which nearly 1,250 are boarding students. Enrollment work must be completed before July 31 so that schools can prepare facilities, teaching staff and welcome students into the new school year.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province, said that along with accelerating the construction of inter-level boarding schools, the education sector is coordinating with localities to complete enrollment and prepare facilities so that schools can promptly welcome students in the new school year.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai added: "We have advised the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee to direct and mobilize all forces to work overtime, increase shifts, and work even at night, striving to complete by the end of July 2026. In August 2026, units will review procedures, clean up and complete preparations to put schools into operation, in time for the new school year opening according to the province's policy.
