Virtual filtering process consists of 6 steps
On July 30, universities completed the download of data on candidates applying for admission to their schools from the common admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
The downloaded data includes detailed information on the total number of candidates registered for the school, the total number of general admission aspirations, the number according to each aspiration order and admission information for each specific major.
From admission data, schools will review data, calculate bonus points, bonus points, and prepare for virtual admission filtering.
According to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, from August 4 to 9, according to time milestones, training institutions will organize admission consideration and process admission aspirations on the common admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The virtual filtering process includes 6 times. The first time started from 7 am on August 4, the last virtual filtering time was in the afternoon of August 9.
During this time, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize admissions, upload the results of application processing to the system and return the results of application processing to schools 6 times to produce the final results.
The virtual filtering process ensures that each candidate is only admitted to one highest aspiration. For example, if a candidate registers 15 aspirations and has enough points for many majors, the system will automatically determine the highest priority aspiration to recognize the results. The remaining aspirations will be removed from the admission list, thereby giving quotas to other candidates with the opportunity to be admitted. Thanks to this mechanism, schools can build admission lists close to reality, minimizing the situation of shortage or surplus of quotas after enrollment.

From 5 pm on August 9, universities begin to announce benchmark scores.
After 6 rounds of virtual filtering, from 5 pm on August 9, schools will enter the admission score and admission results into the system.
From this time, schools begin to announce benchmark scores to candidates. No later than 5 pm on August 13, 2026, schools must complete the announcement of benchmark scores.
After knowing the admission results, candidates need to follow the school's instructions to carry out the enrollment steps in accordance with regulations.
The deadline for online university enrollment confirmation 2026 on the System is before 5:00 PM on August 21, 2026. After completing the online enrollment confirmation step, candidates continue to carry out enrollment procedures directly according to the university's notification that they have been admitted.
Candidates need to pay attention to complying with the prescribed deadline. Confirming enrollment on time is the basis for the training institution to complete the official enrollment list for candidates who wish to study.
The Ministry of Education and Training reminds schools not to require candidates to confirm enrollment or enroll before August 13th and not to end the confirmation of enrollment or end enrollment before 5 pm on August 21st.
From August 22, 2026 to December 2026, candidates who need to apply for supplementary rounds of the training institution, implement according to the enrollment information posted on the enrollment information page of the training institution (if the training institution considers supplementary admission, the candidate has been admitted and has confirmed enrollment, they are not allowed to apply for supplementary admission, except for cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll).
